ELTON FROEDGE

Elton L. Froedge, 47, 1505 E Main St., died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday in University Hospital at Indianapolis. He had been employed by R. R. Donnelley & Son Co. for 25 years. He started his career with the Donnelley firm in Department CA, where he worked in the composing room and served an apprenticeship as a commercial page makeup man. He transferred to Department CMP in 1960. Mr. Froedge was a member of the Byron Cox Post 72, The American Legion; charter member of the Crawfordsville Booster Club, and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. He served with the U. S. Marines during World War II. Mr. Froedge was born Sept. 4, 1925, in Metcalfe County, Ky., a son of John A. and Matilda Ann Ferguson Froedge. He was married to Edith Ann Fultz Dec. 31, 1950. She preceded him in death in March, 1969. Survivors include his parents who reside in Crawfordsville; two sons, Mark and Bruce of Crawfordsville; four brothers, Ralph of Celina, Ohio, Harold and Donald of Crawfordsville, and Orice of Orlando, Fla., and a sister, Mrs. Goldena Davis of Crawfordsville. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Leland Brett officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Sunday. - jlr
