Fritts, Bertha - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Sept 26, 1895 -- Nov 26, 1987

Bertha M. Fritts, 93, formerly of 418 S. Washington St, died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Williamsburg Health Care Center.  She also had formerly resided at Hillsboro with her nephew, Jim Hershberger.  A seamstress, she had worked at several downtown stores, including Dellakamps and Golden Rules.  Mrs. Fritts was born Sept 26, 1895 at Mt. Sterling, Ky to Robert Lee and Rose Ella McPherson Smith.

Also surviving are two other nephews, Leslie R. Smith of Crawfordsville and Charles L. Smith of Denver, Colo.  Her husband, James Fritts, three sisters including Emma Hershberger and a brother preceded her in death.  

Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Powers Funeral Home with Rev. Ernest Hayden officiating.  Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may all two hours prior to services at the funeral home. - kbz
