Crawfordsville – Mrs. Fannie W. Friend, 72 of New Market, died in the Liter Nursing Home here Saturday evening. She sustained a broken hip in a fall three months ago. Born at Mt. Sterling, Ky she was the widow of Theodore Friend, who died in 1941. She was a member of the Christian Church. Surviving are four sons, Buford of New Market; Ellis of Crawfordsville; Everett of Lowell and Arthur of Darlington and six sisters: Mrs. Effie Cosby and Mrs. Ethel Hester, Russellville; Mrs. Pauline Reeves and Mrs. Eva Gentry, New Market; Mrs. Nellie Swearingen and Mrs. Opal Rice, Crawfordsville. - kbz
