Retired farmer and livestock buyer Willie A. French of R 4, Veedersburg, died Wednesday afternoon May 3, 1978, at his home. He was a member of Campbell's Chapel Church and attended Sterling school. Mr. French was born Sept.26, 1889, near Veedersburg, a son of Thomas and Nancy Redden French. He was married Jan. 9, 1910 to Bertha Henthorne who survives. Also surviving are a son, Hubert French of near Hillsboro; a daughter, Mrs. Ernest (Zula) Pyle of Mentone; a sister, Mrs. Edgar Henthorne of Waynetown, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Services are arranged for 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro. The Rev. Alfred Dobbs will officiate. Burial in Waynetown Masonic cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral Home.
