Ladoga - Elmer Edgar French, 95, Ladoga, died Wednesday morning in golden Manor Nursing Home. Born April 5, 1876, in Portland Arch in fountain county, he was a son of James and Alice LaBaw French. He was married to Mabel Reynolds and after her death married Lillian Kinkaid June 27, 1905 at Crawfordsville. Survivors include seven sons; Earl of Waynetown, Paul, Ernest and Edwin of Ladoga, Clarence of Peoria, Ill., Clyde of Danville, Ill., and Ralph of Waveland; three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Hartang of Amo, Mrs. Opal McKinstry of Ladoga and Mrs. Gladys Fletch of Wolcott; a granddaughter, Mrs. Webb Boone of Mace and a half-brother, Everett Douglass of Veedersburg. He was preceded in death by a son, Claude and a daughter, Mrs. Howard Webb. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Perkins Funeral Home in Ladoga, with burial in New Ross Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday.
