Gary - Funeral services were conducted today for John W. Frees, 51 in Geisen Funeral Home & Blessed Sacrement Church at Mariville. Burial was in Calument Park Cemetery. Frees died Monday (31 Dec 1973) in Mercy Medical Center at Hobart. He was a former truck driver for Red-Froz Co. at Gary. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, K of C Council 407, Teamster Union 142 and Gary Sportsman Club. He was a veteran of WWII. Surviving with the widow, Margaret, are a son, John B. Frees of Terre Haute; a daughter, Mrs. James (Jean) Rhodes of Illinois; four brothers, Paul of Cypress, Calif; Carl, Gale and Robert of Crawfordsville and a granddaughter.
