Mrs. Pearl Ruth Freeman, 88, a former Darlington resident, died at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Weber Rest Home at Indianapolis after a long illness. Mrs. Freeman was a member of the Presbyterian Church and for more than 35 years was manager of the John R. Monahan Apartments at Indianapolis. She was a graduate of Darlington High School in 1900. She was born at Darlington to Aniel and Martha (Bundrant) Cunningham. She married Harry M. Freeman Dec. 25, 1900. They lived most of their married life in Indianapolis. He died Nov. 16, 1949.Surviving are a niece, Mrs. Gladys Horn of Dayton, Ohio, and a cousin, Mrs. James A. Peterson of Darlington. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Flanner and Buchanan Fall Creek Mortuary at Indianapolis.
