RAYMOND F. FREELAND

Attica - Funeral rites were held Monday, March 18, at 10 a.m. at the St. Francis church for Raymond F. Freeland, age 60, who died at his home in Williamsport at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 14. The Rev. Charles Remaklus officiated. Burial was in the Highland Cemetery at Williamsport. Mr. Freeland had been in ill health two years and had recently been a patient in Carle Hospital in Urbana, Ill. A former farmer he was a farm implement dealer in Williamsport from 1937 until his retirement in 1957. Boor in Freeland Park, Nov. 11, 1902 he was a son of Anthony Joseph and Anna Pauline Grogan Freeland. He was married Jan. 26, 1931, in Lafayette to Frances Adwell who survives. Mr. Freeland was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Attica and the Lafayette Elks Lodge. Survivors include his wife; a son, Robert L. of Williamsport; two daughters, Mrs. Sharon M. Strickland of Bradley, Ill and Jaxene at home; five brothers, Thomas, Bernardine and Irvin, all of Fowler, John of Hoopeston, Ill., and J. Leo of Michigan City' three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Crosson of Fowler and Miss Marie Freeland and Mrs. Loretta Rooney, both of Muncie.
