FRAZIER, Gertrude Shade

Burial service for Mrs. Gertrude Shade Frazier, 81, a resident of the Hillsboro vicinity for many years, was held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro Saturday afternoon, following funeral service at the First Methodist Church in Crawfordsville at 1:30 p.m.
Mrs. Frazier died at her home at 600 W. Main street Crawfordsville Thursday morning.  She was the daughter of Simon and Susan Davis Shade and was born on a farm north of Hillsboro.  After her marriage to Virgil Frazier they resided on a farm south of Hillsboro for a number of years.  After retiring from the farm in 1924 they moved to Crawfordsville where he was engaged in business for a short time.  He preceded her in death several years ago.
Mrs. Frazier was a member of the First Methodist Church of Crawfordsville, the Woman's Society of Christian Service and the
Arts and Crafts Club.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Palmer Krug, of Newtown; Mrs. Arthur Krug, of Covington and Mrs. H. Stuart French of Indianapolis, and a nephew, Clark Shade, of Crawfordsville, who made his home with her for several years.
Several other nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service was held at the Bright Funeral Home in Crawfordsville with the Rev. Donald F. McMahan officiating.  - jz
