Waynetown June 19 - Mrs. Savannah Francis, 67, resident of Waynetown the past 13 years died at her home here at 7 o'clock Saturday night following an 8 months serious illness. Mrs. Francis was born Dec 1, 1871 near Waveland the daughter of Aquilla W. and Lenorah Russell Groves and was married in the fall of 1900 to James Francis, who died Oct 25, 1924. The deceased was a member of the Christian Church, having joined when she was 11 years old and under the pastorate of Rev. James McCall. Surviving are a son, Russell Francis at home, one sister, Mrs. V.W. Livengood, Crawfordsville and 3 brothers, Samuel, David and Arnet Groves all of Crawfordsville. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Christian Church in charge of Rev. WH Newlin of Crawfordsville. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. - kbz
