Harry Francis, 85, 1509 Edgewood Drive, died early Monday morning in Culver Hospital. He was born Dec. 18, 1884, in Montgomery County and was reared by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jones. He married Martha Becklehimer, who died in 1926. He married Laura F. Holland on Aug. 6, 1927. She died in March, 1963. Mr. Francis was a charter member of First Church of Nazarene. He was employed at Mid-States Steel and Wire Co. for 24 years. He served in the U.S. Navy 1902-1912. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Rebecca) White and Mrs. Etherton (Harriet) Jackson, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Leo (Mary Catherine) Rice all of Crawfordsville; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vina Ruth, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Ralph Surber. Services will be conducted by Rev. W. M. Muir in the First Church of Nazarene at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Hunt and Son Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
