David E. France, 27, of Rt. 7, the truck driver injured in a train-truck accident Thursday afternoon at Cherry Grove, died Monday in Marion County General Hospital at Indianapolis. France was transferred from Culver Hospital to the Indianapolis hospital after suffering head and internal injurie s. Employed as a truck driver for Petrolane Gas Service of New Market since July 1972. France was driving one of the firms propane tankers at the time of the accident. He became Montgomery County's first traffic fatality of 1975. A U.S. Navy veteran, France had seen duty in Vietnam. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. Born Feb. 6, 1947, in Montgomery County, he was the son of Carlos W. and Nellie Anderson France. He attended Waveland schools, He was married to Margaret Ann Wilbur on April 22, 19 67. She survives. Other survivors are a 3-year-old son, Bryan; the parent s; four brothers, James of Greenwood, Ray and Robert of Waveland and Terry, serving with the U.S. Marine Corps; two sisters, Mrs. Sandi Greene of Crawfordsville and Connie Sue France of Waveland; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Anderson of Rockville; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wilbur of Crawfordsville. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Powers Funeral Home at New Market with the Rev. Eldon J. Coons officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. - jlr
