Bert M. Frame, 84, of near New Market, a former director of the Brown Township Farm Bureau died at 1:43 a.m. Monday at the home of a son, Robert Frame, two miles west of New Market. He had been in failing health for the past 1 1/2 months. Born Oct 7, 1881, near Parkersburg, Mr. Frame was the son of Robert and Fannie Doyel Frame. He attended the former Swamp College. He married Ethel VanCleave on Nov 25, 1910. She preceded him in death Nov 13, 1962. He was a member of the New Market Baptist Church where he was an honorary deacon. He had held several church offices in the past. Besides being a former director of the Brown Twp Farm Bureau, he was a 50-year member of the organization. He was also a member of the old Horse Thief Detective Association. He was a former member of the Odd Fellows. Survivors include the son, Robert; a grandson, Gary; two granddaughters, Mrs. Gay Calvert and Mrs. Judy Eads; two great grandchildren, Julie Calvert and Brad Eads and a brother, Charles Frame of Jamestown. He was preceded in death by a brother and sister. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Noble Reeves Funeral Home in New Market, Rev. Lemuel Greeer and Rev. Creed Hampton will officiate. Burial in Indian Creek Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
