Oliver Rolland FRY, a lifelong resident of this city, passed away at his home, 806 Louise Ave, Thurs. night at 10:30 o'clock after an illness of several months. Ollie, as he was known by every one, was b. at Tuscarawas, OH April 25, 1871 the son of William T. and Mary FENNER Fry. When a small boy his parents moved to this city where he has spent practically his entire life. He enlisted in Co. M. 2nd Regt of the Indiana National Guards. After receiving an honorable discharge he reenlisted in the 4th Regt. Sept 22nd 1899, serving for a period ending June 30, 1901. He was a member of the Spanish Amer. War Vets and the UCT. He was united in marr. to Pearl CHADWICK to which union 9 children were born, 8 of whom are living: Charles B; Mary Alice JOLLEY; Ruth L; Jane; Rolland; Barbra; and Nina May, all of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Eudora SEEKAMP of Indianapolis. Robert passed away in infancy. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 4 brothers, Eugene of Greencastle,; William F. of Nashville, Tenn; John E. of Los Angeles, Cal; and Ben F. of South Bend, Ind; one sister, Mrs. Mary MEESE of New Philadelphia, Ohio. He has been a traveling salesman for many years, having been employed by the Poole-Bosworth Co. until the Crawfordsville Wire & Nail Co. purchased this business which is now known as the Mid States Steel & Wire Co. having made almost 25 years service as a traveling salesman. He united with the Presbyt. Church when a young man. The fun. services will be held at the home on Louise Ave, Sun. afternoon at 2 o'clock. They will be in charge of Rev. MV Oggle. Bur.
