Dr. Wallace C. Freeman died at his home in Whitlock last Sunday afternoon from an affliction of the throat. The funeral services were conducted on Monday by Rev. J.A. Maxwell, of Newtown. He was born on Nov. 4, 1849, at Parkersburg. He commenced the study of medicine when seventeen years old with Drs. Straughn and Hyten. When the war commenced he entered the regular army, where he remained ten years. In 1880 he located at Whitlock where he has since resided. He was married on March 14, 1877, to Miss Arthusia Green, of Clinton, who survives him. - typed by kbz
