Charles James Foxworthy, rural letter carrier on Rt. 1, Ladoga, for the last 34 years, died in Culver Hospital at 8:50 a.m. Friday, just a few hours after being admitted. He had been ill with a heart condition for the last six months. He was 66. Born in Ladoga May 22, 1897, he was the son of George and Viola Wright Foxworthy. He was married Feb. 19, 1919, in Crawfordsville to the former Ethel Mae Bryant. Mr. Foxworthy was a member of the Ladoga Methodist Church. Ladoga Lodge 187, F & AM, and the National Rural Letter Carriers Association. He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Donald Grenard of Waynetown; two sons, John of Ladoga and Stanley of Lexington, Ky.; two sisters, Mrs. Clone Warbritton of Ladoga and Mrs. Harry Rice of Indianapolis; two brothers, Delbert of Tipton and John of Boerne, Tex., and seven grandchildren. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Ladoga Methodist Church where the body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Ladoga Cemetery. Rev. Ray French will officiate. Friends may call after noon Saturday at the Gephart Funeral Home in Ladoga.
