Coal Creek now has two trustees. James W. FOUTS of Wingate, the former trustee died suddenly on Monday afternoon while working on his farm. As on a former occasion, Auditor Stump lost no time but appointed Glenn Wilson as soon as his office was opened on Tuesday. The law is that the auditor appoints when the commissioners are not in session. However, the two commissioners, Thompson & Carter, who are Republicans took the ground that under the present law the commissioners are always in session, so they appointed Mills Bratton to be trustee.
