FOUST, Benjamin - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Benjamin Foust, died Sunday morning March 10 at his home 3 miles east of the city, aged 88 years 11 months 6 days. Death was due to old age. His funeral occurred Tuesday at one o'clock from the Christian Church at Smartsburg, conducted by Elder Plunkett of Crawfordsville. Interment at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Benjamin Foust was born in Fairfield County, Ohio April 4, 1812. At the age of six weeks he was baptized in the Presbyterian Church. When 22 he was married to Lydia Ann Francis March 27, 1834 and in 1836 h e and his wife and one son, Joseph came to this country and in 1837 settled on the home place after which one son and 3 daughters, Abraham, Katherine, Phoeba and Rebecca were born. Rebecca died in infancy, and Phoeba, wife of AP Enoch died in Feb 1888. Joseph, Abraham and Katherine still survive. His wife died Aug 1, 1870. After her death he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. JR Green. She and her daughter, Lida faithfully and patiently watched over him .. (sorry, rest gone)
