Garrett V. Foster died in St. Vincent’s hospital, Indianapolis, at 11:15 o’clock Friday night, November 13. On Tuesday before he was taken ill with peritonitis and was moved from his home to St. Vincent’s hospital where he died, Garrett V. Foster was 48 years old. He was born near New Richmond November 27,1866. He was married to Miss Mary Miller November 14, 1888. The wife died August 4, 1904. He was married to Mrs. Maude Raymond in Indianapolis in 1912. This wife survives him. He is also survived by his aged mother, Mrs. Cynthia Foster of New Richmond and the following children: Alba Foster of North Battleford, Alberta, Canada, Mrs. Minerva Davis of Odell; Thomas, Ruby, Ralph, Maude and Frank Foster of New Richmond. He is also survived by one brother and three sisters—John A. Foster of Sioux City, Iowa, Mrs. S. P. Harriman and Mrs. Randolph Baxter of New Richmond, and Mrs. James Q near of Indianapolis. The funeral occurred Monday, November 16 from the Beck & Hurley Chapel, 125 South Capitol Avenue. The interment was made in Crown Hill cemetery.
