Mrs. Sarah A. Foster, wife of Robert C. Foster died at her home in Eldorado, Illinois Thursday Aug 15 after being ill 5 weeks with typhoid fever. The body was brought to Waveland and interred in the New Cemetery Saturday morning, after funeral services conducted by Rev. HC Riley. Sarah A. Davis, daughter of Roderick Davis was born in Putnam County south of this place Dec 16, 1840. She was married to Robert C. Foster, March 21, 1872 and to them were born 4 daughters and two sons. Of these Martin Foster, Miss Pearl Foster, Miss Anna Foster of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Trump of Ladoga are still living. She leaves a husband, one brother, Mahlon Davis of Quitman, Missouri and two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Byrd and Mrs. Minerva Byrd of Ladoga. She was an earnest and faithful follower of Christ. She was a good neighbor and a loving mother, and her loss will be sorely felt. She resided in Waveland for many years until she removed to Eldorado. She was a member of the Daughters of Rebekah and Eastern Star.
