FOSTER, James W. - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

James W. FOSTER 85, well known local resident died at his home Friday afternoon at four o’clock. His death came only a few hours after that of his boyhood friend and life-long associate , David M Harshbarger. Both were retired farmers who had made their homes here since 1911 (Ladoga). James W. Foster was born in Scott Twp Jan 2, 1847 son of James and Mary Britt Foster. He was married to Louisa Ashby Feb 12, 1869. He was an elder in the local Presbyterian Church. Surviving are the widow; two sons, Robert and Thomas of Ladoga; one daughter, Mrs. Lillian Bruce of Crown Point; one sister, Mrs. Frances Josepha Quinley of Ladoga; 4 grandchildren and six greats. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at two thirty o’clock at the local Presbyterian Church with Rev. CD Ragan in charge; burial in Ladoga Cemetery.
