James Foster, of two miles east of Linden, died on February 13 at 2 o'clock at the age of seventy. He is another death attributed to the grip. He was a captain in the Confederate army belonging to the North Carolina troops. Twenty years ago he came to this county and he has always had the respect and confidence of all who knew him. He leaves a wife and four boys, all grown.

James Foster, of two miles east of Linden, died yesterday evening at 2 o’clock at the age of 70. He is another death to be attributed to the grip. He was a captain in the Confederate Army belonging to the North Carolina troops. Twenty years ago he came to this country and he has always had the respect and confidence of all who knew him. He leaves a wife and four boys, all grown. The funeral occurred this morning, the services being conducted by Rev. T. C. Shanklin.
