Crawfordsville – Beatrice Bannon Forrest, 76 of Crawfordsville, a former resident of Lafayette died at 3:35 a.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Forrest was born June 10, 1914 in New Market. She married Evan Bannon in November 1935, and he died in 1951. She later married Kenneth Forrest and he also preceded her in death. She was a longtime resident of Montgomery County. She had resided in Lafayette 10 years before returning to Crawfordsville. Mrs. Forrest graduated from New Market HS in 1933. At one time she worked at the Garment Factory in Crawfordsville and Wilson Brothers Greenhouse in Montgomery County. While residing in Lafayette, she worked at the Holloway House. Surviving are two step daughters, Clela Jones of Waveland and Evelyn Farley of Crown Point; a stepson, Jerry Forrest; two brothers, Burt Hampton of Waveland and Herschel Hampton of Ladoga and a  sister, Opal Hipes of Crawfordsville. - kbz
