Susan Miriam Fordice, daughter of Abraham and Miriam Moore, was born May 17, 1844, and departed this life Jan. 1, 1933. She was born east of Russellville on what is known as the Marsteller place, where she lived until 18 years of age. At that time she moved with her family to a farm near Waveland, from which place she was married in 1862 to Jesse E. Fordice, who preceded her in death 31 years. To this union were born seven children, all of whom survive her, as well as 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Twelve years prior to her death she became an invalid and was confined to her bed most of the time. She had been a member of the Presbyterian Church for many years. The last years of her life were spent with her son, J. N. Fordice at Danville, Ind. Funeral services were held at the Federated Church, Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. H. L. Todd.
