Joseph A. Foote died on February 15 at the home of his son-in-law, Prof. Bacon, in Berkley, California. He had been making his home there for several years. He was aged seventy two years and five months, and was the last of the family of Major L. A. Foote, of this city. Except the Major himself, Joseph Foote was for several years engaged in the seed business in this city and had a large circle of friends here who will be pained to learn of his death. After leaving here he went to Terre Haute to reside. – thanks to S for this one
