Watt Fogle, 88, 210 W. Pike St., a resident of Crawfordsville since 1946, died at 9:20 p.m. Saturday in Culver Hospital. He had been in failing health several months. A native of Rock Island, Ill., Mr. Fogle was born April 10, 1869, the son of Washington and Hesperia Van Druff Fogle. He married Sarah E. Paullin Oct. 15, 1890 at Tuscola, Ill. Mr. Fogle farmed in Boone County near Lebanon most of his life. He was a member of the First Methodist Church and had been active in Boy Scout work. Before coming to Crawfordsville he lived in West Los Angeles 24 years. Surviving are the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Worley of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Oris Devol of Columbia City, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Majetta. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Hunt and Son Funeral Home, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon. Rev. Ralph Graham, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will be the officiating minister. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Monday.

Assisting as pallbearers and flowerbearers were Rex Worley, Jack Hamm, Arthur Trier, John Heake, Willis Sheets and Beecher Young. Mr. Fogle, a retired farmer, who farmed most of his life in Boone County, died Saturday in Culver Hospital. He had lived in Crawfordsville since 1946 - kbz
