MACE -- Wallace Fletcher, 77, secretary and treasurer of the Montgomery County Sales Pavilion, was pronounced dead on arrival Wednesday at Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville after being stricken with a heart attack in the firm's office. He had been associated with the sales company since 1941. He farmed in the Mace area for many years and sold real estate. He was a member of the Mace United Methodist Church and Mace K of P Lodge. Born May 10, 1896, he was the son of John H. and Eliza Ward Fletcher. He was first married in 1922 to Naomi Grenard. He was next married to Alvie Fisher in 1962. She survives. Other survivors include a son, John Elston of Wolcott, four stepchildren, Eddie Fisher of Willard, Ohio, Sarah Minnich, Cletis Adler and Onetia Myers, all of Crawfordsville; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Victor Link officiating. Burial will be in Mace K of P Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.
