Fletcher - Foster

The report to the effect that Foster Fletcher died Saturday night proves to have been groundless. Foster still lives, moves and has his being. The report was spread here by a man on his way to New Market to inform the relatives of Fletcher that his 14 year old daughter had died. He was understood to remark at the shop where he stopped while here to state that it was Foster himself.

Foster Fletcher went out with the old year. He was taken sick last week and after a short and painful illness died at his home south of Elmdale. The interment occurred at Oak Hill today. Foster Fletcher left considerable property and was one of the best known citizens in the county. He formerly resided at New Market. - s
