VEEDERSBURG -- Mrs. Maude Fleming, 69, a resident of the Stone Bluff neighborhood since she was 6, died at 1 p.m. Friday in St. Elizabeth hospital at Danville, Ill., where she had been a patient two weeks. She was born in Wingate June 1, 1889, to the late James and Susan Cline Sutton. Thirty-seven year ago she married Hermy Fleming, who survives with a son, John of Oxford, Ind.; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Blanch Frazee of Veedersburg, Mrs. Marie Clark of Covington and Miss Flossie Sutton of Lafayette, and a brother, Rex Sutton of Lafayette. A daughter, Mildred, preceded Mrs. Fleming in death. Friends may call after noon Saturday at the J. Fred Parham Funeral Home, and services are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at the Stone Bluff EUB Church of which the deceased had been a member since early childhood. Rev. Conley Rowland will officiate and burial will be in Osborne Prairie Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
