Neva Pearl Flaningam, 76, formerly of Crawfordsville, died Wednesday evening in the Indiana Soldiers Home. Mrs. Flaningam was born Oct. 6, 1900, to John L. and Ella Terhune Northcutt at Normanda, Ind. She was educated in the Crawfordsville School System. She was former manager of the Diana Shop at Crawfordsville. She married Claude Esra June 23, 1916. He died in August, 1949. She married Cassius Flaningam in 1954. He preceded her in death in 1958. She is survived by a son, Leroy Esra of Tempe, Ariz.; a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Claudine) Voorhees of Monticello; a sister, Mrs. Ted (Edna) Lockhart; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Larimore K. Wickett officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
