Fisher - Peter L. - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Peter L. Fisher, the son of Peter and Catharine Fisher, was born in Aurora, Ind. in November 1853, coming to this city where he has since resided in 1865. In 1876 he was married to Miss Mary Sullivan, who survives him with a bright seven year old, Lewis, their other child, Walter, having died in childhood. Mr. Fisher began his profession of druggist in the Binford drug store and was there engaged for thirteen years when he established a drug store of his own which he has maintained for eleven years with great success, being noted as one of the most enterprising and successful business men of Crawfordsville. His death early yesterday morning was a surprise and shock to the entire community for although he had been ailing for several days, he had been confined but a short time and his death anticipated but a few hours. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon, the procession leaving the house exactly at 3 o’clock.
