ERNEST "Bob" FISHER

Ernest C. “Bob” Fisher, 65, of Galveston, died at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph’s Hospital at Kokomo. Mr. Fisher was employed by Lafayette National Home for 18 years and had worked in the Maintenance Department at Purdue for two years. Born Nov. 2, 1915, at Bedford, he was a son of Ernest and Anna Salyards Fisher. He was married in 1937 to Margaret E Young, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Ernest Jr. of Crawfordsville, Jack of Akron and David of Fowler; two daughters, Alice Berry of Fowler and Sally Hogan of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren; and a brother, William Fisher of Wheaton, Ill. Services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Galveston United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Ailes officiating. Burial will be in Galveston Cemetery. Friends may call at the Murray Funeral Home at Galveston until 9 p.m. today and at the church one hour prior to services Tuesday. smc
