Mrs. Gertrude Mae FINNEY, 77 of Marshall died July 1, 1960 at Vermillion Co. Hospital. Survived by son, Robert and his wife, Mary; one granddaughter; two great grandchildren. She was a member of the Christian Church, Bloomingdale and Marshall Neighbors. She was the widow of Robert Finney, former Sheriff of Parke County 1908-1912 and Civil War Vet and Mrs. Finney was the only living Civil War Widow in Parke County. She was a practical Nurse in Parke & Montgomery Counties for 50 years and at one time cared for some elderly people in her home at Bloomingdale. Her kind administration to the sick will be greatly missed by the people of the community and she was happiest when serving those who were ill. Services held at Davies Funeral Home, Marshall, Rev. Griggs officiating.
