Darlington – Mrs. Blanche Gertrude Fidler, 85, died Tuesday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville where she had been a patient 10  days. She was born Jan 1, 1877 at Kirkpatrick, the daughter of Robert S. and Mary C. Jordan Michael. She married Clarence Samuel Fidler Dec 19, 1913.  They were married at Kirkpatrick.  Mrs. Fidler died in 1919.  Mr. and Mrs. Fidler started housekeeping in Tippecanoe County.  Mrs. Fidler moved to this community in 1924. She was a member of the Methodist Church here. Surviving are a son, Alva B. Fidler of Darlington; a daughter, Mrs. Don F. Taylor of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Frank D. Michael of Johnstown, Colo; and Arthur E. Michael of Lafayette; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three children, a son and two daughters, who died in infancy. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bright’s Funeral Home here with Rev. James R. Dickey, pastor of the Darlington methodist Church in charge. Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery in Tippecanoe County.  Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Thursday.
