Jesse Ferguson died Thursday night at his home in this city of consumption. The deceased was 40 years of age and for a long time had been almost blind. Funeral today. Interment at Smartsburg. – kbz

Jesse W. Ferguson, son of Abram and Sarah Ferguson, was born in Montgomery County, Sept. 6, 1861, and continued to reside in this county until his death, January 26, 1899, his age at that date being 37 years, four months and twenty days. He united with the regular Predestination Baptist Church November 5, 1889, and was baptized by Elder J. B. Swank. He obeyed strictly the faith which he professed and died satisfied, glad to meet the change. -s

Jesse Ferguson, aged forty years, died of consumption Jan. 26 at his home in the north end. The funeral occurred last Saturday at ten o’clock, interment at Smartsburg. He was a single man and had long been practically blind. -s
