Veedersburg, Ind - Herbert Anthony Ferguson, 88 died unexpectedly at 10 p.m. Thursday Oct 24, 2002 at his home in Crawfordsville. He moved to Crawfordsville in 1970 from Veedersburg.  He was a WWII Army veteran, serving in Europe. He operated the Ace Garage in Veedersburg from 1946-1968 and then worked at Herman Davis Chevrolet in Crawfordsville.  He was born Oct 26, 1913 at Vincennes, Ind the son of George W. and Lena Messel Ferguson.  He married Wyona Lorraine Hall on Jan 21, 1938.  She died July 2, 1999.  Surviving are a daughter, Sandra (Don) Myers of New Richmond; a son, Christopher (Dianna) Ferguson of Lebanon; a sister, Naomi (William) Rutkowski of Georgetown, Ill; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  His parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.  

Funeral services: 11 a.m. EST Monday Oct 28 at Parham-Shelby Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Michael Whitacre officiating. Interment: Waynetown Masonic Cemetery with full Military honors by the American Legion and VFW.  Visitation: 3-6 p.m. EST Sunday Oct 27 at the funeral home. - kbz
