PERRYSVILLE — Mark O. Fenters, 55, Perrysville, died at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006 in St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis. He was born June 2, 1951 in Crawfordsville, the son of Catheryn (Walker) Fenters and the late Oran Butler Fenters. He was formerly married to Helen Bush. He was raised in Williamsport and had lived in Waynetown, graduating from Waynetown High School in 1969. He lived most of his life in Fountain County and had lived in Perrysville for the past three years. He worked at Raybestos Product Company in Crawfordsville for 34 years. He had owned the Attica Sport & Hobby Shop which dealt in sports cards and sports memorabilia. He was a member of the Stringtown Church of God and the vintage baseball team in Danville called the Vermilion Voles. He was a fielder and his nickname was “Lefty.” He enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He liked collecting antiques. He was an avid reader and writer. Survivors include: his mother of Royal Center; five children, Erika Fenters, Washington, Valerie (Terry) Runion, Hillsboro, Andrew Fenters and Ashley Fenters, both of Lafayette, and Aaron Fenters, Washington; his dear friend, Sharon Townsend, Oxford; a sister, Mary (Larry) Plummer, Kewanna; three brothers, Dennis (Rita) Fenters, Indianapolis, Mike (Cheryl) Fenters, Lafayette, and Alan (Liz) Fenters, New Bremen, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Cheyenne, Sydney and Sierra Runion. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with Pastor Greg McDonald officiating. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Surviving are five children, Erika Fenters and Aaron Fenters of Washington, Indiana, Valerie Runion (husband: Terry) of Hillsboro, Andrew Fenters and Ashley Fenters, of Lafayette; his mother, Catheryn Fenters of Royal Center; a sister, Mary Plummer (husband: Larry) of Kewanna; and three brothers, Dennis Fenters (wife: Rita) of Indianapolis, Mike Fenters (wife: Cheryl) of Lafayette and Alan Fenters (wife: Liz) of New Bremen, Ohio. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Cheyenne, Sydney, and Sierra Runion, and his dear friend, Sharon Townsend of Oxford. Arrangements were handled by Maus Funeral Home in Attica on Friday, December 29. Services were held on Saturday, December 30, with Pastor Greg McDonald officiating. Interment in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

Friends may call Maus Funeral Home, Attica, 5-8 p.m. Friday. Services will be conducted at the funeral home 1 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Greg McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
