PERRYSVILLE — Mark O. Fenters,
55, Perrysville, died at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006 in St. Vincent
Hospice, Indianapolis. He was born June 2, 1951 in Crawfordsville, the son of
Catheryn (Walker) Fenters and the late Oran Butler Fenters. He was formerly
married to Helen Bush. He was raised in Williamsport and had lived in
Waynetown, graduating from Waynetown High School in 1969. He lived most of his
life in Fountain County and had lived in Perrysville for the past three years.
He worked at Raybestos Product Company in Crawfordsville for 34 years. He had
owned the Attica Sport & Hobby Shop which dealt in sports cards and sports
memorabilia. He was a member of the Stringtown Church of God and the vintage
baseball team in Danville called the Vermilion Voles. He was a fielder and his
nickname was “Lefty.” He enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He liked collecting
antiques. He was an avid reader and writer. Survivors include: his mother of
Royal Center; five children, Erika Fenters, Washington, Valerie (Terry) Runion,
Hillsboro, Andrew Fenters and Ashley Fenters, both of Lafayette, and Aaron
Fenters, Washington; his dear friend, Sharon Townsend, Oxford; a sister, Mary
(Larry) Plummer, Kewanna; three brothers, Dennis (Rita) Fenters, Indianapolis,
Mike (Cheryl) Fenters, Lafayette, and Alan (Liz) Fenters, New Bremen, Ohio; and
three grandchildren, Cheyenne, Sydney and Sierra Runion. Funeral services were
at 1 p.m. Saturday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with Pastor Greg McDonald
officiating. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Memorial contributions
