The funeral services of Mrs. Mary VanNice FELTON were held Sunday, March 10, 1895, at 2 o'clock at the Trinity ME church in Crawfordsville, conducted by Rev. Tucker, DD. The interment was made at the Masonic cem. Mrs. Mary Margaret Felton was born in Washington Co, Ky Feb 24, 1845. She died two and a quarter mi. NW of Darlington where she had lived for the past two years on March 7, 1895, from consumption, a disease from which she had been a constant sufferer for two years. She came to this state with her parents at the age of 12 years and lived here the remainder of her life, with the exception of about two years, which time she and her husband lived in Iowa when first marr. She was marr. to Warner Felton March 13, 1873. To them two children were born, one daughter, Miss Ina, who with her father, still survives, and one son, John, who they bur. 12 years ago at the age of 3 months. Mrs. Felton was one of 10 children, four of whom still survive her, three sisters, Mrs. Martha A. VANNICE, of Waveland; Mrs. Bell CLARK and Mrs. Estella STROB of Horace, Ill and one brother, Clark Vannice, of Crawfordsville. She also leaves an aged father, John W. Vannice, who is in Horace, Ill. Mrs. Felton had been a member of the ME church for the past 35 years and a devoted Christian and earnest worker for the Master. She was a loving and affectionate wife and mother. She did all in her power to make home a place of joy and gladness. She was a woman loved and admired by all who knew her, for in her gentle and cheerful way she soothed and brightened the lives of those about her. She assured her friends she was perfectly reconciled to meet her Savior. She talked a great many times of her mother who had gone before and how great would be their meeting although she could not speak after 8 o'clock a.m. She was conscious until the last breath left her.

Thursday, at her home near Darlington, Mrs. Mary M. Felton, wife of W. W. Felton, died, aged fifty five years. The funeral occurred at the Trinity M. E. Church on Sunday afternoon. Interment was at the Masonic Cemetery. Deceased leaves a husband and one daughter.

The wife of Warner Felton, living one mile north of here, died Thursday, Mar. 7, and was taken to Crawfordsville for interment Sunday. She had long been a sufferer from consumption and has passed to her reward. Thus death gives the weary ones rest.

Mrs. Felton died Friday. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery at Crawfordsville.
