WINGATE – William C. Farley, 56, of Merrillville died Saturday in Sebring, Fla., of an apparent heart attack. He was the son of Mrs. Hazel Farley of Wingate. Born Dec. 8, 1923, at Gary, he was a son of Lawrence and Hazel Miller Farley. Mr. Farley had been employed by Walsh & Kelley of Griffith since 1945. He was a combat veteran of World War II in the European Theater and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was married in 1945 to Viola Malott of Crown Point who is deceased. In 1972 he married Wanda Chapman of Crown Point who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Sally Krcmarich of Valparaiso and Mrs. Sandy Antczak of Hobart; a son, James A. of Crown Point; his mother; three brothers, Richard of Wingate, David of Crown Point and Robert of Alamo; and five grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Geisen Funeral Home at Crown Point. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today and 2-9 p.m. Tuesday, Masonic rites will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
