Jesse D. Fagan, 69, of Rt. 7, died Sunday morning in Culver Hospital. Mr. Fagan was a member of the Smartburg Christian Church. He was a 25 year employe of R.R. Donnelley & Sons Corp. retiring in August of 1963. A Montgomery County native, he was born Aug. 28, 1898, a son of Walter and Allie (Bortorff) Fagan. His first marriage was in 1916 to Ada Graves who died in 1965. In 1967 he was married to Viola Strain who survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert of Linden; three daughters, Mrs. Frances Sparks of Ladoga, Mrs. Shirley Mills of Hope, Ind., and Mrs. Dorothy Delano of Crawfordsville; a step-daughter, Mrs. Mary Brown of Detroit; a sister, Mrs. Nina Heller of Sacramento, Calif; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a step-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.Tuesday at Hunt and Son funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Jeffries officiating. Burial will be in Indian Creek Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
