Fisher - Ortha Butcher - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Thorntown - Ortha Celia Fisher, 97, of Sacramento, Calif., died Sunday in a Sacramento hospital. She was a resident of the Bowers and Thorntown communities until 1938 when she and her husband moved to California. Born in 1879 in Montgomery County, she was a daughter of Joseph and Mariah Butcher. She married Levi Fisher in 1896. He died in 1957. Surviving are a son, Ray of Zypher Hills, Fla.; four daughters, Frances Wrench of Diamond Springs, Calif.; Ruth Mann and Lucille Maloof of Sacramento, and Katherine Berg of Cedar City, Utah; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Burial was in the Sacramento Masonic Cemetery.
