JONATHAN EVERETT

Jonathan Everett, 76, died at his home, 219 Vance Street , Saturday night at 11 o'clock after an illness of serveral weeks. Complications and the infirmities of age caused his death. He was born near Crawfordsville on February 9, 1850, the son of Jonathan and Hannah Breaks Everett. He grew to manhood in this vicinity and in 1873 was married to Eliza Simms. To this union were born four sons, Enoch Earl, who died in infancy, and Bert, living north of this city, Belmont, who lived with his father on Vance Street, and Harry, of Lafayette. Mr. Everett's first wife died in December 1914 and in 1917 he was married to Mary Smith, who survives him. Besides his wife and sons he is survived by two half brothers, Will McClamrock and Sherman McClamrock, both living north of the city, and three half sisters, Mrs. James E. Wilson of Round Hill, Mrs. Charles A. Patton of Round Hill and Mrs. Allie Malberry of Lafayette. Mr. Everett was a member of the Robert's Chapel Church. He had lived in this city a great many years. Funeral services will be held from the Trinity Methodist Church Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be made at Oak Hill Cemetery. - kbz
