William E. Evans, 86, prominent New Ross farmer died Wednesday (Nov 5) night at his home in New Ross. He had been in failing health three years. Born March 18, 1866, near New Ross, Mr. Evans ws the son of William B. and Arrie Ann Evans. He married Nina Dorsey April 18, 1894. Mr. Evans, who had a wide acquaintance among livestock men in Indiana was engaged in farming most of his life. Surviving are the widow and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the family residence in New Ross. Burial at New Ross Cemetery, Rev. Forrest grimes and Rev. Ernest Prevo will be the officiating minister. Friends may call at the home. - kbz
