WEST LAFAYETTE— Mrs. Mildred Evans, 60, died at 11:30 p.m. Friday at Home Hospital in Lafayette where she had been a patient since suffering a stroke Monday. She was born Sept. 24, 1906, the daughter of Mable Thompson of Rockville and the late Everett Thompson. Mrs. Evans was a resident of the Marshall area for several years. She married Howard Evans Dec. 27, 1932. She is survived by her husband, a son, Jean of Colombus; two daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Sweet of Dayton, Ohio and Mrs. Betty Welton of West Lafayette; two brothers, Kenneth and Carroll both of Marshall, and eight grandchildren. Friends may call at the Sollar-Baker Funeral Home at Lafayette. Services will be at the Covenant Presbyterian Church in West Lafayette at 1 p.m. Monday. Burial will be at the Marshall Cemetery. - kbz
