Grove Evans, 65 of Darlington died Thursday afternoon in Methodist Hospital at Indianapolis. Evans had been a foreman with RR Donnelley & Sons Co for 44 years. He retired in 1984. Mr. Eans was born April 13, 1923, to Samuel and Mary Okah Grove Evans of Linden. He married Joan Hallet ton May 66, 1945. She survives. Mr. Evans was a 1941 graduate of Crawfordsville HS. He was a member of the Darlington Christian Church. Mr. Evans enjoyed travel and spent much of the year in the Evans’ winter home at Eustis, Fla. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Susan Davis of Indianapolis; a son, John of Farmington Hills, Mich; a granddaughter; and two half-brothers, Sam Evans of Morris Minn and Max Evans of Greencastle. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Darlington Christian Church with Rev. Gale McKinley officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery at Darlington. Friends may call 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home at Crawfordsville.
