NEW RICHMOND — Denver Evans, 70, a resident of New Richmond most of his life, died suddenly about 8 a.m. Tuesday in the yard of the Larry Sylvester home here. He was stricken as he walked from the house where he had lived for a number of years. Born at Montmorenci, where he spent his boyhood, Mr. Evans had lived in New Richmond since he was a young man. Until his health failed about three years ago he had worked as a farm hand. He was the son of William and Susan Meeks Evans, and the last of his family. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the King and Brown Funeral Home in Linden, followed by burial at the Linden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, after 4 p.m. Wednesday. - kbz
