Epperson - Lewis

Dr. Lewis Epperson, an old and respected citizen of Jasper County, Illinois, died at his home on March 5, at the advanced age of 90 years. He was a brother of David Epperson, of this city, and of William Epperson, deceased. He was a brother-in-law of Mrs. R. L. Mullikin, residing south of the city. Dr. Epperson began the practice of medicine at New Maysville, Ind., but in 1853 removed with his family to Illinois. He was very successful in his practice and amassed quite a fortune. -s
