HILLSBORO — Harry E. Epperson, 63, of Rt. 3, Veedersburg, a retired musician who had played with "name" bands throughout the country, died Saturday morning in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill. He had been in declining health three years. Born May 23, 1905 in the home in which he lived up to his last illness, he was a son of Wallace and Gertrude Blue Epperson. He was wed Feb. 26, 1940 to Mary A. Hanes at Covington. She survives with his mother and a brother, Carl, all of Rt. 3, Veedersburg. Mr. Epperson was a member of Musicians Union Local 90 at Danville. He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and attended DePauw University. Funeral services are set for 3 p.m. Tuesday at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home here, with Sarah Kramer the Christian Science reader. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
