Attica - Albert Ralph Epperson, 58 of 1108 S. McDonald St died Saturday afternoon in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. He had been a patient one day and seriously ill since April. Mr. Epperson was a molder at Harrison Steel Casting for 29 years. For the past 4 years he was employed in the security department there. He was a graduate of Attica HS and served in the Army in WWII. He was a member of Attica Christian Church. Mr. Epperson was born Feb 15, 1912 in Attica to Dwight and Edna Songer Epperson. He was a lifelong resident of Attica with the exception of 4 years residence at Hillsboro. On Aug 27, 1938, he wa smarried to Ruth Jahnke at Portland Arch. Surviving are his widow; a son Terry Richard at home; his mother, Mrs. Edna Bleeker of Attica; four brothers, Dwight, Jr; of Hattiesburg, Miss; William R and Raymond of Florida and Robert of Lafayette; 4 sisters: Mrs. Lydia Reynolds and MIss Lagretta Epperson of Attica; Mrs. Irene Brown of Danville, Ill and Mrs. Ollie Bier of White Cloud, Mich. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in DeSutter Funeral Home, Rev. Harry C. Randolph will officiate. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro. Friends may call at the funeral home.
