Mrs. Louise Ensminger, age 73, widow of the late Dr. S.L. Ensminger, died suddenly at her home, 415 west Main street, at 12:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon while eating luncheon. Heart trouble from which she had been suffering for several years was the cause of her death. Seated with her at the table at the time of her death was Miss Nancy Hanna, a friend. Mrs. Ensminger has been troubled with her heart for the past several years and Saturday morning no change noticed in her condition. Shortly after she went to the table for her lunch her heart stopped beating and she fell over dead. Mrs. Ensminger was well known in this community, and while she was known to be in poor health, her death came as a chock to her host of friends. The deceased was born in Rensselaer, 73 years ago the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Austin, pioneer resident of that city. She was married to Dr. S.L. Ensminger 52 years ago and since her marriage has always lived in this city. Dr. Ensminger who served as a captain in the medical corps during the Civil war, preceded her in death five years ago. Mrs. Ensminger was a member of the Wabash avenue Presbyterian church and up until late years always was active in the affairs of that church. She is survived by one son, Dr. Leonard Ensminger, of Indianapolis, one brother, William R. Austin, of Chicago and several other relatives. Funeral arrangements will not be completed until the arrival of her son and brother.
